Health & Safety
Health and safety are at the forefront of Verde’s values. The health and safety of our employees, the public and our fellow contractors through the execution of our duties under the CDM Regulations 2015 is a priority in the business and essential to our supply chain partners.
We take the safety of our employees, colleagues, and members of the public very seriously. Our health and safety policy is compliant with the terms of the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and subsequent legislation. We provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment. Our Health & Safety policy is regularly monitored, audited, and reviewed to ensure compliance.
Our independent Health and Safety consultant ensures legislative compliance. Verde is accredited with Contractors Health and Safety Assessment (CHAS) and Constructionline Gold.
Environment
Verde Services is fully committed to current and future environmental protection. We seek to meet legislative requirements relating to environmental management and strive to lead by example in developing sustainable operations where practicable. Our commitment to excellence is driven by our responsibility to future generations to sustain an environment where they can live with security. Therefore, we are conscious of a wide range of environmental issues and aim to minimise our activities’ impacts while simultaneously increasing the energy and resource efficiency of our installations and consumption. Examples of how we achieve this ambition can be found within our Environmental & Sustainability policy.
Sustainability
Sustainability in design has positive long-term effects on the environment and the economy. Utilising renewable energy systems, achieving good BREEAM ratings and using best practices on site make the process of construction more sustainable and improves the environmental impact during the life of your building.
Our designers prioritise sustainable technologies in their concept and feasibility studies. If a project is to achieve an effective balance between economics and environmental & social amenities, then sustainability must be considered in all its dimensions and embedded into the design and build process from inception.
Guided by our strong Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) principles, we recognise the importance of minimising our ecological footprint and fostering sustainability. By seamlessly integrating innovative technologies and practices, we actively seek to reduce energy consumption, limit emissions, and promote resource efficiency.
Social Value
Verde is committed to making a positive change throughout the local community via our social and economic processes. We endeavour to support communities in our place of work with the intention of creating benefits and additional social value.
