Our focus is on combining traditional services with renewable energy solutions. We design and incorporate low energy, low carbon and renewable energy technologies to minimise your building’s carbon footprint.
We help you assess the right combination of building services, including renewable technologies, for your building. This ensures the solutions you choose are practical, deliverable and cost-effective. Verde can help you achieve your energy efficiency aims and meet the targets set by the government to achieve net zero by 2050.
Solar PV
The Verde team have extensive experience working on Solar Photovoltaic (PV) projects and have delivered on a range of sizes, from a 100kW to 15MW systems in both ground and roof applications.
Solar PV panels are made up using photovoltaic cells that capture solar radiation (energy) from the sun and convert it into electricity. The cells are set between semi-conducting materials, and when light shines, they absorb UV rays, creating a flow of electricity, which in turn can be used to power a building.
If you do not use all of the energy you generate, the surplus energy can be fed back into the National Grid. By switching to solar power, you can directly reduce carbon emissions, and ensure a safe and liveable planet for future generations.

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) capture any excess energy from Solar PV panels when production is higher than demand.
This allows businesses to maximise their generated energy, providing a cost-effective way to store power for use at a critical time whilst delivering long-term savings, reducing your reliance on the grid and progressing your journey to net zero. BESS consists of one or more batteries, which gives companies greater control and flexibility over their electricity use.
Solar Carports
Solar carports are structures that are designed to provide shade for vehicles while also generating solar energy.
Carports offer a practical and renewable solution, whilst also being cost-effective. Equipped with solar PV panels, carports capture sunlight and convert it into sustainable electricity, ideal for powering buildings or charging electric vehicles.
Verde ensures our solar carport structures are suitable for client’s requirements, with various designs available to suit different parking layouts, ensuring aesthetic harmony with their surroundings.
EV Charging
Verde can provide a reliable vehicle charging infrastructure to your business. You can offer your employees the convenience of charging their electric vehicles at work, whilst reducing your carbon footprint and working towards your sustainability goals.
Under the UK Government’s Green Plan, the UK is accelerating the shift to zero-emission vehicles. We provide our clients with high-quality EV ports that are designed to be future-proof, ensuring functionality, adaptability, and ease of use.
EV charging ports can be integrated with commercial solar carport solutions.
Heat Pumps
Heating accounts for over 50% of the energy used in the UK each year, with fossil fuels being the principal energy resource.
Unlike traditional carbon intensive heating installations, which often rely on fossil fuels, heat pumps are powered by electricity which can come from a renewable source, or directly from the national grid. Each type of heat pump system, ground, water or air can be used to provide both heating and cooling.
Several options are available depending on the available resource and the feasibility of the plant location on site. Air source heat pumps will be externally mounted and utilise outside air as a primary source of energy. Ground source heat pumps harness natural heat from underground and water source heat pumps absorb energy from surrounding water should that option be available.
Heat pumps are powered by electricity therefore the energy can come from another renewable source such as solar or battery storage. When combined with high coefficients of performance, it makes them an attractive choice for clients looking for a financially viable way to decarbonise.
Rainwater Harvesting System
The responsible use and disposal of rainwater has become a key consideration in building design. We are incorporating rainwater into multiple occupancy buildings.
Rainwater harvesting systems refer to the collection of rainfall, storing it and then using it to meet the demand for flushing toilets and other non-potable applications. It is also possible to incorporate other renewable energy systems, such as solar PV panels, to generate the power to drive the harvesting, pumping and water management systems.
