Client Details

The project was delivered for Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, reflecting their commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure.

The works were managed by the main contractor, Krol Corlett, with the mechanical systems designed in collaboration with Hydrock.

Scope of Work

Our work focused on the installation and commissioning of key mechanical systems, including ventilation, cooling, above-ground drainage, domestic services, sanitaryware, and medical gases.

Ventilation improvements featured ductwork to BESA standards and a new MVHR unit serving Observation areas.

Cooling systems were enhanced with DX coils and cassette units, while drainage and domestic services were integrated with the existing infrastructure.

A key feature of this phase was the installation of medical gas systems installed by Medical Pipeline, a critical element for supporting patient care and aligning with the hospital’s clinical needs.

Results

The upgrades delivered in Phase 2 have significantly enhanced the functionality and efficiency of the hospital’s mechanical systems.

Improved ventilation and cooling have created a more comfortable and controlled environment for patients and staff, while the seamless integration of drainage and domestic services ensures reliability.

The inclusion of high-quality medical gas systems highlights our commitment to meeting the specific demands of healthcare environments.
